ABA: Ethics, Discipline, and Malpractice: Tips for Starting a Solo Practice – Part II

July 13, 2022 @ 1:00 pm 2:30 pm EDT

Are you interested in starting your own firm after law school or are you ready to leave your current position to go solo? Concerned about going it alone?

Join us for part two of this two-part series and learn from lawyers who have been there! We will provide tools and insights to help you make it on your own. As a legal-preneur, you will face many of the same operations challenges as any start-up, but you should be able to avoid some pitfalls by attending this series.

This is the second part of a two-part series Thinking, Going, Gone Solo: Tips for Starting a Solo Practice – Part I. For part two, our panelists will discuss and differentiate between malpractice, ethics, and attorney discipline. They will examine ethical concerns when starting a practice. They will address concerns about attorney discipline, as well as current trends in grievance filings, and explore the benefits of malpractice insurance.

Also, you should check out the ABA Solo and Small Firm Resource Center for more information on Starting Your Practice and Growing Your Practice.
